Welcome to AI Friend ("App", "we", "our", "us"). AI Friend is an AI-powered companion app that allows you to create and interact with a personalised AI boyfriend character. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
By using AI Friend you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Authentication Data
- Google Account email address
- Google Account display name
- User ID generated by our authentication system
We use Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) for authentication. We do not store your Google password.
2.2 AI Companion & Preference Data
- Boyfriend name and personality type you choose
- Configured wake-up and sleep times
- Notification preferences (frequency, types, enabled/disabled)
- Daily check-in review time
2.3 Chat & Messaging Data
- Messages you send to the AI companion
- AI-generated responses
- Message timestamps
Chat history is stored encrypted on your device. A rolling window of your most recent messages is sent to our secure backend solely to generate AI responses. We do not use your chat content for advertising.
2.4 Mood & Relationship Data
- Daily mood emoji selections
- Daily relationship satisfaction ratings (1–5)
- Relationship score and milestone progress
- AI-generated daily summaries based on your mood and rating
2.5 Credits & Purchase Data
- Credit balance, total credits purchased, and total credits used
- In-app purchase transaction records (processed by Google Play)
- Referral transaction history
- Daily check-in history
2.6 Device & Notification Data
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token
- Device platform (Android / iOS)
- Notification delivery logs (message content, type, timestamp)
2.7 Feedback Data
- Any feedback messages you voluntarily submit through the App
2.8 Locally Stored Data (Device Only)
- Biometric authentication preference
- Time format preference
- Chat message history (encrypted via Flutter Secure Storage)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account
- To generate personalised AI companion responses
- To deliver push notifications (sweet messages, compliments, reminders) within your configured schedule
- To manage your credit balance and process in-app purchases
- To generate relationship insights and daily summaries
- To operate the referral reward system
- To improve app performance, stability, and features

4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in two locations:
- On your device (encrypted): Chat history via Flutter Secure Storage; biometric and display preferences via local storage.
- On our servers (Supabase): Account data, companion configuration, credit records, ratings, notification logs, and device tokens, all stored in a secured, access-controlled database.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted storage, OAuth authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our servers. Chat history stored locally on your device is only deleted when you clear it manually or uninstall the App.

- Delete your account and associated data at any time via Settings → Delete Account
- Clear your local chat history via Settings → Clear Chat History
- Opt out of push notifications via Settings or your device notification settings

9. Children's Privacy
AI Friend is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
